Partial Document Translation

Today we received several documents emailed from a prospective new client. The documents are in Chinese and the client wants them in English.

We also received some fairly complex instructions about translating only certain paragraphs in the documents (which are in Chinese and we cannot read without the aid of a translator).

When requesting translation services for only certain portions of documents, to lessen the possibility of misunderstanding it’s better to provide translators with only the text that’s for translation. If the subject text cannot be extracted or isolated, highlighting the text with a tool (such as a PDF highlighting tool) is one option to make sure no misunderstanding occurs.
