Translation Project Questions and Explanations

Clients sometimes have questions about delivered translation projects. Chances are they don’t work with translation deliverables every day. So things that translators and agencies take for granted and seem routine, are not routine for clients. So they ask questions.

Thoughtful answers to questions can resolve translation client concerns immediately. Poorly formed answers can unnecessarily introduce or elevate concerns. For this reason our company not only invites questions but when they’re received, we try to respond as clearly and specifically as possible. We can’t respond to and alleviate concerns we don’t know about. If there’s a potential problem or misunderstanding brewing we want to nip it in the bud if possible.

When a question comes in by email it can be tempting to dash off a quick response, effectively cross it off the list of to-dos. A good policy is to wait at least for a few minutes. In a short time somehow the right words can come. The right words in a response to translation clients can make all the difference. After all there’s more at stake than the current project. There are potentially a lifetime of projects to come when customers are informed and pleased.
