Strange Business Translation Questions
Occasionally we receive questions from business clients that are difficult to answer. For example a prospective new client recently asked for translation services that “don’t need to be entirely accurate.” This is an unusual request, especially from a business client, since companies typically want to make business decisions on the most accurate information possible.
Business decisions can be challenging and subject to misjudgment even when operating with perfect information. So lessening the quality of a translation isn’t likely to improve the outcome of a decision.
For all business translation projects we follow a strict process that consistently results in high quality translations. The process goes as follows.

Source material is reviewed to identify special requirements; glossaries/special project instructions are readied.
B. TRANSLATION
Translation is carefully prepared by a professional translator native speaking in the target language.
C. PROOFREADING REVIEW
Translated text is reviewed and edited by a second translator following the initial translation.
D. DELIVERY & APPROVAL
Final translated and reviewed text is sent to the client via email or secure upload for application.
