Practitioners In The Art Of Language

We recently adopted the descriptive tagline ‘Practitioners in the Art of Language’ for our language services company. In so doing we make the case that translation can rightfully be considered as art and translators as artists.

In author and marketer Seth Godin’s blog ‘A useful definition of art‘ he explains his view. Art is work that matters.

It’s an interesting and inspiring way of thinking about the services we perform in the language business. We can’t guarantee that everyone will always like our art (although it’s gratifying when they do). Such goes with the territory of being an artist.

Our clients are artists too. So we have artists providing services for other artists, each with their respective specializations that matter.
