When That Big Translation Project Doesn’t Come Through

Not all prospective translation projects happen of course. It’s not only true in the translation business, the same is true for every profession, some project pursuits are successful and others are not.

When a potential project does not materialize it’s often not wasted effort. Many times a relationship forms with a client during the pursuit and that connection carries forward. Future translation needs arise and the next project does happen.

So what is really a successful project pursuit and one that isn’t? It could be that success is in establishing a relationship, whether immediate business results or not.

I wonder if  Google Analytics could figure out a way to track that metric for us?
