Translation and Pizza

We regularly read the blog written by Seth Godin. He’s known as a marketer and observer of just about everything imaginable. Afterall marketing takes in a lot.

In a recent blog he makes the point that good pizza is rare, despite the method for making it being well known. Efforts to make pizza more convenient, easier, or cheaper, seldom if ever make it better. The same is true for translation.

New technologies that may make translation of written text cheaper, or faster, or easier, have yet to make it better. So we continue with human translation services. We use technology for sure. Still skilled human linguists are irreplaceable.
