Articulate Storyline Translation Project Summary | Voiceovers & Video Dubbing

We recently completed a translation project for an elearning course created in Articulate 360 / Storyline. Although we’ve completed numerous translation projects previously in this elearning authoring application, this project was notable in its scope.

The service categories required to complete the project (into two target languages) included:

  • Translation and proofreading by a second linguist (native speaking in the target language
    • Items required for translation included the standard slide text from the course, the course narration script, the narration scripts for 6 embedded videos, SRT files for video subtitles, and PDF file translations used as supporting course materials.
  • Voiceover recordings for translated course narration and video scripts.
  • Integration of all translated and recorded course inputs

The instructional course was impressively prepared in English to begin with. Once all the individual skill areas were brought to bear in the target languages and all translated and recorded pieces were put together again in Storyline, it was an impressive project to behold.

The course contained approximately 109 slides and took a little over one hour for users to complete. The target languages were Spanish and Cantonese.
